{"id":5204,"date":"2024-08-07T17:49:32","date_gmt":"2024-08-07T20:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clayss.org\/jovenes-solidarios-en-mejico\/"},"modified":"2024-08-07T18:34:47","modified_gmt":"2024-08-07T21:34:47","slug":"solidarity-youth-in-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.clayss.org\/en\/solidarity-youth-in-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"Solidarity Youth in Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students from the <strong>Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM) <\/strong>and the <strong>Universidad Iberoamericana<\/strong>, developed and jointly collaborated in reforestation in the Barranca de Tarango, in \u00c1lvaro Obreg\u00f3n, Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>During a field day at the end of June, this solidarity service learning initiative was part of the activities of the <strong>Service-Learning Network in Mexico<\/strong>, which is very close to CLAYSS. It was also part of the research project <strong>Sistematizaci\u00f3n de experiencias educativas para la ciudadan\u00eda mundial en distintos contextos nacionales [<\/strong>Systematisation of educational experiences for global citizenship in different national contexts] (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GIbcLMg0GuU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GIbcLMg0GuU<\/a>), funded by PAPIIT DGAPA UNAM [IN307524].<\/p>\n<p>It was a true solidarity service learning activity shared by the young people involved, with the participation and guidance of the R\u00edos Tarango civil association (<a href=\"https:\/\/rios-tarango.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/rios-tarango.org\/<\/a>). The proposal, based on the slogan &#8220;Let&#8217;s plant a tree and preserve areas of environmental significance&#8221;, invites the community to raise awareness of the community needs, affected by deforestation over time.
